Principal Sustainable Development Manager, Re-Thinking
Cathy is an experienced environment and sustainability professional with over 20 years of experience in delivering environmental improvement and sustainable solutions in consultancy and across the private and public sectors. She is a Chartered Environmentalist, with Masters Degrees in Environmental Technology and Town Planning.
At Willmott Dixon, Cathy leads on the monitoring and improvement of environmental performance, primarily focussing on carbon and waste and with increasing involvement in water and biodiversity performance. Cathy works with teams throughout Willmott Dixon Holdings and sister companies to provide leadership and strategic direction and to embed improvements within the construction processes.
Prior to joining the team, Cathy was Environment Manager for the Crossrail project where she led the environment function, with overall responsibility for assuring compliance with environmental requirements and for driving continual improvement. She designed and implemented the project’s EMS and was involved with procurement and assurance during design and construction. She was also an Associate Lecturer at Birkbeck, where she was responsible for developing and delivering a new module on Environmental Reporting and Management Systems as part of the new MSc in Environment and Sustainability.
