National Quality Advisor

The National Product Team have an exceptional opportunity to recruit a highly motivated National Quality Advisor due to an expanding workload and increased business focus on the quality and compliance of our projects.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the quality and compliance of the buildings we deliver, who will only accept the highest standards, who has the courage and discipline to enforce company policies and standards, who enjoys sharing knowledge and wants to develop themselves as well as our business and has the ability to work closely with all of our people to ensure we deliver safe, compliant, high performing buildings.

We’re looking for someone that has a strong technical knowledge with the desire to learn and the ability to easily translate that to others. A keen eye for detail and a questioning attitude would be desirable.

Your location will ideally be in the north west (other locations within the north of England will be considered) and you will be expected to undertake regular national travel to support projects within this area.

The Project

Your responsibilities will include:
• Be the voice of the customer; obsess about quality and ensure that the customer is always heard.
• Work collaboratively with our people to drive a “Right-First-Time, Every-Time” agenda and provide proactive support and advice that ensure the satisfaction of our customers and our people.
• Deliver efficient and targeted inspection processes that identify and share areas of concern and areas of excellent practice.
• Ensure the company quality standards and policies are understood, set, measured and maintained.
• Engage with and help to train our people so that they have the right skills and culture to deliver compliant products.
• Champion quality and customer service by providing proactive support and advice that helps our people deliver defect-free handovers.
• Promote and sponsor recognition schemes and awards where excellence has been achieved.
• Inspire others to identify causes of defects and come up with ways and means of minimising them and to share their learning.
• Share best practice and other Company Central Teams and ensure this is embedded.
• Inspire others to help achieve the above objectives, in particular through site inspections
• Use data driven insights to shape our future direction of travel
• Embed all of the above with our supply chain and designers in order to share knowledge.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Proven experience of:
• Working with the construction industry and knowledge of how elements are constructed
• Driving and delivering change
• Influencing others and getting buy in
• Coaching and training others
• Health and safety
• Excellent at building relationships and a multi-faceted communication techniques
• A full driving licence
• Managing multi-disciplined teams and working groups

Qualifications and memberships:
• Minimum of an HNC or degree in an appropriate subject, or relevant working experience.
• Working towards MCIOB status
• Relevant CSCS card

Desirable requirements:
• Relevant Degree desirable but not essential
• 5 day SMSTS course
