Offsite construction shifts significant construction material creation to factories away from the construction site, improving efficiency and reducing cost. The resultant construction outputs are typically modular - entire balconies, or entire bathrooms, for instance. Not all modular construction is offsite and vice versa, but the two processes are typically used together so the terms are often used interchangeably.
