2027 Year Out Placement - London & East

Willmott Dixon are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveying and Site Manager year out placement student to join our London & East team for 12 months commencing in the summer of 2027. We are looking for an undergraduate who is looking for a year out placement specialising in either quantity surveying or site management for your 3rd year of university. The placement will be based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and at one of our existing projects so you will need to be flexible and open to some travel.


We will consider applicants who are studying the following degrees:



  • Quantity Surveying

  • Construction Management


With our projects ranging from around £10m to over £100m, you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience across different teams, sectors and stages of construction while building the foundations for a long-term career with Willmott Dixon.

The Placement

As a year out student there will be a structured training programme for you to follow, and a mentor will be allocated to assist with your progress through this.

Essential Criteria


  • Currently studying a Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management degree.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Have a valid driver's license.

  • Seeking a year-out placement as part of your university course. 

Desirable Criteria


  • You have had some exposure to construction (work experience, placement or similar).
