We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Estimator/ Estimator to join our Central South region that focusses on projects based in Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and Oxfordshire.

This is a new position in our team to fulfil the estimating duties on projects in tender and negotiation. Our tender pipeline is healthy and with our projects in negotiation now being predominantly estimator led, additional resource is required. This is also a great opportunity to be mentored by an experienced senior estimating team and learn further skills on the job. It could well suit someone with quantity surveying experience who wants to utilise their experience in an estimating capacity.
An Assistant Estimator/Estimator would be utilised to:
• Lead first stage tenders in relation to commercials and pricing element
• Support senior estimators/ surveyors at pinch points in second stage of tenders
• Support single stage tenders as required
Essential and Desirable Criteria
• Have experience of various construction methods
• Experience of controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets
• Experience of reading and accurately interpreting drawings and technical specifications
• Good standard of mathematical ability
• Appropriate CSCS card
• Relevant degree
• Use of Conquest Estimating System or similar
• Experience of taking off quantities up to SMM 7
