Willmott
Dixon has underlined its growth ambitions in Yorkshire by recruiting Andrew
Hurcomb as its new regional operations director, based out of the company’s
Morley office near Leeds.
New ground for Scarborough FC
Andrew
joins from Galliford Try, where he spent 28 years rising from site engineer to
operations director. His know-how and expertise will be vital in supporting
Willmott Dixon’s current projects in Yorkshire, as well as working with
customers on a host of new opportunities in the county.

Willmott
Dixon is behind several major schemes in the county, including the new National
College for High Speed Rail in Doncaster, Minsthorpe Leisure Centre in
Wakefield and Scarborough Leisure Village, which includes a football ground that
allows Scarborough FC to return to the town after a ten year absence. The company also recently built the Flemingate
retail development in Beverley, a new campus in Scarborough for Coventry University
plus two large custody suites for South Yorkshire Police in Sheffield and
Barnsley.

Looking
ahead, Andrew will help maintain strong relationships with all current clients,
with one example being Doncaster Council where Willmott Dixon is working at
pre-construction on the Herton Triangle Retail Park development.
Talking
about his move, Andrew says:
“Willmott Dixon is a progressive, forward thinking
organisation with many notable opportunities in the pipeline. I am excited to be
playing a part in realising the huge potential we have in Yorkshire and further
developing the business in the region working with customers from public and
private sectors.”
Anthony
Dillon, managing director of Willmott Dixon in the North said, “We are
delighted to welcome Andrew to Willmott Dixon. It is an exciting time with a
surge of new opportunities across Yorkshire and Andrew will help us deliver many
successful projects for our customers.”
