Office development for Surrey County Council

HIGHLIGHTS

  • New office that will be let by South East Coast Ambulance Service
  • Local authority developing property to generate revenue for front-line services
  • Demonstrates Willmott Dixon's know-how for commercial office development
  • Long-term presence in Surrey through Cobham office

This is a great example of a local authority using development to provide funding streams for future services.

Watch it built in seconds!

In this case, Surrey County Council is developing a brownfield site which has been pre-let by South East Coast Ambulance Service. The council believe this approach is a blueprint for others to follow in using land assets to provide long-term revenue streams that off-set cuts in other funding sources.

As a follow-up, the council want the Gatwick Diamond development, close to the airport, to become a “Blue-Light” centre and are in discussions with other local emergency services on pre-letting the next phase of development.

Major Surrey presence

For Willmott Dixon, it's our latest in a long line of major developments in Surrey, typified by the HQ for the WWF and G-Live in Guildford.

Our company has a strong presence in the county thanks to our Cobham office which employs over 130 people in the region.
