Replacing an old centre for modern leisure facilities
- Modern facilities for local community
- Procured through Southern Construction Framework (SCF)
We are building a modern new leisure centre to replace the old, run down facilities that are currently still in operation. The new building, named the Littlehampton Wave will feature an eight-lane, 25 metre swimming pool, learner pool, gym, dance and cycling studios, sports hall and café.
The project for Arun District Council was procured through the Southern Construction Framework, and will deliver new modern facilities for the local community to enjoy for generations to come.
Roger Forsdyke, managing director of Willmott Dixon in Cobham said;
“We are delighted to be working on the Littlehampton Leisure Centre project, creating new facilities that will improve the health and wellbeing of the local community.”
Track record for local authority leisure
Our teams have delivered more than £200 million of leisure facilities in the past three years, including flagship schemes for towns and cities in Tewkesbury, Dartford, Scarborough, St Albans, Oldham, Hebburn, High Wycombe and Romford.
As on all Willmott Dixon projects, creating a legacy is extremely important to us and the Littlehampton project is no different. We have deployed our community investment plan which includes local work placements, trainee and graduate placements and apprenticeships, along with creating new jobs in the local area.
