Record volume of new orders in 2024 is followed by strong start to 2025
Membership strenghtens focus to ensure the property built has adequate passive fire protection installations
Willmott Dixon has underlined its focus on fire protection measures in the property it builds by becoming the first tier one contractor to join the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP).
The ASFP helps ensure property has adequate passive fire protection installations and as members, Willmott Dixon gets access to technical knowledge and the ASFP’s network of expert installers to ensure a consistent approach to meeting fire protection standards in buildings.
ASFP president, Brian Robinson said: “I am delighted that Willmott Dixon is our first tier one main contractor to join. It shows their focus on working with our specialists to ensure projects are fit for purpose in their passive fire protection performance. It’s further evidence how the ASFP membership is expanding, not just in numbers, which is always import to any association, but in quality of membership.“
Martin Adie, national engineer at Willmott Dixon:
“Building owners are increasingly aware of their responsibilities to check their buildings for passive fire protection installations. Many clients check their property to ensure fire protection installations are installed correctly and it’s our duty that we have a high quality, consistent approach to this important area that can save lives.
“Joining the ASFP will give us access to a nationwide network of installers and specifiers to support installations, alongside a wide range of technical knowledge.”
