This new site will save over 15,000 tonnes of waste in the borough from going to landfill as part of the ‘curb side’ recycling programme launched within the area.

Facilities include:

  • Pumphouse and valve house
  • Large building with 4 lorry bays
  • Two conveyor belts
  • Vehicle maintenance building
  • Two water towers
  • Quarantine building

The council aims to increase the amount of waste recycled from 31% to 50% by 2019.
