UTC Scarborough

College for 14-18 year olds next to Leisure Village we are also building

Our team built Scarborough's new UTC; one of three projects we are responsible for on the same site that is revitalizing this part of Scarborough. The other two are a new campus for Coventry University and football ground for the town.

UTC

The UTC provides 14 to 18 year olds with vocational training focused on engineering as well as core academic education within a three storey steel framed building.

Scarborough's latest school is science focused

UTC Scarborough provides school leavers with valued STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) academic qualifications and technical skills.

It will equip students with the skills to succeed across a wide range of engineering design applications, including robotics, software development, control systems, medical and environmental engineering, automotive and aeronautical engineering. They will also have know-how that local employers and universities are looking for now and in the future.

The UTC will have a close working relationship with Hull University as lead education partner. It will also be supported by international businesses such as McCain, Unison Ltd, Scarborough Borough Council, Castle, Dale Power Solutions, Deep Sea Electronics, Firmac, GCHQ, Plaxton (ADL), Schneider Electric Ltd, Severfield, SWC Trade Frames and York Potash.

Wider development

As one of three projects at Weaponess Valley, these pictures show the scale of what we are creating - all procured through Scape for added efficiency.
