Our projects and people were again in the spotlight at the prestigious Construction News awards, where we again featured strongly among the winners crowned in front of 1,200 people at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

First was Julia Barrett who won the Construction Leader of the Year award. She had impressed judges with her approach and passion, matched by evidence and detail of development, change and success. They admired Julia’s ‘commitment to driving changers within the industry and beyond through collaboration, strategy and leadership shone through.’

Next up was our North East team, who joined our customer North Tyneside Council in collecting the Low Carbon Project of the Year for the North Shields Transport Hub.

Judges praised the transport hub as an important milestone in the delivery of a wider vision for a sustainable and accessible public transport network, embodying an exemplary partnership between Local Authority and Delivery Partner. Judges also commended our ‘the project team showed great leadership and courage in “proving people wrong” and delivering a project that serves the community - an excellent example of a public sector project showing the bravery and honesty to push the expectations of low carbon projects.’
