Graduate Trainee SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) Manager

Elevate your career with Willmott Dixon as a SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) Graduate Trainee, part of our management trainee program starting in September 2025. We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate SHE Manager to be based at either our Morley (Leeds) or Oldham offices. As a crucial member of our Central SHE Team, your role will focus on safety, health, and environmental management across the region supporting our teams on construction projects.


In this role, you will actively contribute to health and safety in our site operations, collaborating with our teams to plan and oversee on-site SHE processes. Your primary goal will be to ensure Willmott Dixon is safe, sustainable and caring for everyone in our teams and supply chain.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.

  • Engage in on-site activities, gaining practical experience in construction management.

  • Work across various departments, developing a holistic understanding of the construction business.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safety, health, and environmental policies.


Qualifications:



  • Emphasis on candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (we will consider graduates from diverse backgrounds and degrees).

  • Passion for a career in construction, particularly in safety, health, and environmental management.

  • Perhaps you have had a previous career in construction (or similar) and want to move into safety as your next.

  • Intent to undertake a NEBOSH diploma as a key qualification during the 2 or 3-year program.
