Health, Safety and Environment Manager (12 month fixed term)

Willmott Dixon are looking to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Manager (known company wide as a SHE Manager) on a 12 month fixed term basis initially to work on site for our projects in Aldermaston.

Candidates should ideally be able to monitor, advise, support, enforce and report upon standards of health, safety and environment and compliance to statutory and company, client and site requirements.

The Role

The main role of a SHE Manager is to ensure our sites keep our people and supply chain safe, keep up to date with current legislation and group and site specific policy and procedures and ensure this is effectively communicated.


You will comply with the duties and responsibilities set out in Group H,S&E policies, and those of this site/estate and ensure compliance across the company, provide leadership and support to staff and supply chain on all such matters.


All accidents and incidents should be responded to within appropriate timescales ensuring that internal and statutory notifications are in place which provide sufficient detail to protect our business interests and give an accurate account of the root cause of the accident/incident along with details of corrective action.


In addition you will be responsible for promoting and encouraging excellent standards and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental management within our business and on this site.

Criteria

 



  • Level 3 Qualification (NEBOSH / Construction certificate)

  • Ideally having CMIOSH or working towards it

  • CSCS Card

  • FASET, Confined Spaces, Scaffold Inspection, Fire Marshal

  • Valid Driving licence

  • Experience of working on a wide range of construction methods and trades from groundwork's to internal fit-out and finishing trades.

  • Working with project team to develop innovative ways of working which improve HS&E standards.
