We are looking to recruit a Trainee Digital Construction Manager to join our Midlands team. The ideal candidate will be based in the West Midlands and be able to travel to our offices in Central Birmingham and Coleshill. A Digital Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient use of digital technology in construction projects for example the use of BIM in streamlining construction design to enhance efficiency.

As part of our trainee programme, you will focus on Digital construction management but will also complete placements in other departments within our business including site management, design management and other areas of pre-construction which will give you exposure to the construction process from start to finish. This will provide you with broad construction experience and will help support you with your career in the future. You will get experience of different projects across multiple sectors and will work in a hybrid way from our offices and sites across the West Midlands as well as from home.

We welcome applications from school and college leavers with A Levels, T levels or equivalent qualifications, Skilled Tradespeople and Graduates who are passionate about building a career in construction.

Our management trainee programme is 2 to 5 years in duration (depending upon your entry point) and will give you the chance to earn while you learn and give you valuable work experience alongside part-time study for a level 6 qualification that is paid for by Willmott Dixon. Upon graduation from the programme you will progress into an Assistant Digital construction Manager role.

Next Steps

Our management trainee roles start in September 2025 and the application closing date is the 5th of January 2025. Shortlisting will take place after the closing date and the assessment centre is set to take place in our Midlands office on 27th and 28th February 2025. As part of the application process, you will be asked to answer some of our questions via video recording.
