Trainee SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) Manager - Degree Apprenticeship
Join Willmott Dixon as a SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) Trainee through our degree apprenticeship program, commencing in September 2025. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee SHE Manager to be likely to based at our Morley (Leeds) office or Oldham office, and working with our teams' projects in the region. As a vital member of our team, your role will focus on the crucial aspects of safety, health, and environmental management.
In this role, you will actively contribute to health and safety in our site operations, collaborating with our teams to plan and oversee on-site SHE processes. Your primary goal will be to ensure Willmott Dixon is safe, sustainable and caring for everyone in our teams and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with project teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Participate in on-site activities, gaining hands-on experience in safety, health and environmental management.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand the holistic nature of the construction business.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safety, health, and environmental policies.
Entry Qualifications:
- Emphasis on candidates with A-Level, BTEC, T-Level, and HNC qualifications.
- Perhaps you have had a previous career in construction (or similar) and want to move into safety as your next.
- Passion for a career in construction, particularly in safety, health, and environmental management.
Our comprehensive program provides a strong foundation, exposing you to all facets of our business. You will receive the necessary support to pursue a relevant degree qualification (or equivalent) while gaining practical experience on our construction projects.

Upon successful program completion, you will be promoted to an assistant manager level role within the SHE discipline, having likely achieved a construction management/health and safety degree or similar level Health and Safety qualification.
