Roger will work with chief operating officer John Waterman to implement strategies that support the company’s future growth.

Willmott Dixon has appointed Roger Morton to the newly created role of director of strategic change, where he’ll work with chief operating officer John Waterman to implement strategies that support the company’s future growth.

Roger joins Willmott Dixon from Vistry Group, where he was group change director, following a 25-year career as an officer in the Corps of Royal Engineers.

John Waterman, who is chief operating officer at Willmott Dixon’s construction and interiors businesses, says,

This is the second senior level appointment for the company this summer. In July, it announced that Julie Hirigoyen, chief executive at UK Green Building Council, was joining the main board as a non-executive director.

Roger’s appointment also comes as Willmott Dixon secures a series of notable contracts, which include building the UK’s largest Passivhaus leisure centre, for Spelthorne Borough Council, and delivering a major transport interchange hub in Stockport. It has also been appointed by FORE Partnership to transform a 1990s office building next to Tower Bridge into one of London’s most sustainable and healthy workspaces.

In its recent results update, Willmott Dixon reported an order pipeline of £1.4bn for the next 18 months, with 95% of budgeted work secured for 2022.
