Strawberry Fields Digital Hub

Our commercial experts have handed over the state-of-the-art Strawberry Fields Digital Hub in Chorley, creating a stunning space for digital and creative businesses in Lancashire.

The first project of its kind for Chorley Borough Council and the only digital hub in the area, the project is a substantial step forward for the local area. It is a high-tech business centre for digital and creative businesses, providing collaborative space and bespoke office suites, from new start-ups to growing SMEs.

The development off Euxton Lane, totals 40,000 sq ft of workspace for creative and digital businesses, and includes superfast broadband and on-site digital support, as was as a university advisor.

In building a hub to support local businesses we also supported the Lancashire economy, with 90% of our local spend spent within 40 miles of the project.

As part of our commitment to creating a leaving a sustainable legacy in the communities in which we work, not only has the building achieved BREEAM Excellent but we also diverted 100% of the construction waste from landfill.

Our customer, Chorley Council, will operate the facility, with the space currently being marketed to tenants.

The building was part-funded by a £4.1m grant from the European Regional Development Fund.
