Business Improvement Specialist

The Construction industry is evolving and Willmott Dixon is pioneering new ways to build and looking at finding innovative ways to improve the way we work and how construction is viewed. To support us on this journey we are recruiting a Business Improvement Specialist to join our London & East construction business. This will be a hybrid role with a mix of remote, office and site-based working. We are ideally seeking someone based in the northern home counties as we deliver projects across multiple sectors within north London, the northern home counties and East Anglia.

The Business improvement Specialist is responsible for supporting our teams in collaborative planning and production routines, delivering performance improvements and simplifying ways of working using Lean thinking. The role is particularly exciting as it covers over a number diverse teams on site, and in preconstruction and design phases. As a team we are also responsible for driving innovation and thought leadership by challenging the industry norms. The right candidate will have a mindset that challenges the status quo and strives to find a better way.

The Project

The purpose of the role is to:


- Identify and deliver performance improvement
- Improve our planning and problem-solving
- Use data to drive better performance
- Train and upskill our people in modern project management and lean and effective ways of working

You will ideally have experience in the construction/engineering sector and demonstrate the following skills:
- Facilitation
- Coaching
- Training
- Feedback
- Project management
