Our approach to community investment and adding social value is simple. We want to make a positive difference to people’s lives. This review highlights the achievements we have made in 2017 and showcases our key stories from the year.
The Willmott Dixon Foundation was established in 2011 to guide, monitor and collate the social and community investment activities of the Willmott Dixon group of companies.
Every community is different, so we work with our customers and other stakeholders to identify local needs and priorities and then develop activities which will have the the most benefit.
In the seven years since we established the Willmott Dixon Foundation, we have impacted the lives of many people – last year alone we enhanced the life chances of nearly 2,000 young people.
The impact on over a third of those young people was so great we can say we genuinely transformed their life chances and we are on track to meet our 2020 target – to have enhanced the life chances of 10,000 young people.
We have continued to pioneer flagship programmes which will add social value, such as the Ministry of Justice and the HM Prison and Probation Service's Apprenticeship Pathway Programme. In May of 2018 our first apprentice via this programme was placed on site.
