Hotel Indigo Torquay

We delivered this £23m full-service hotel in Torquay for the Fragrance Group, which opened in November 2025 as Hotel Indigo Torquay, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts' luxury and lifestyle portfolio and the 26th Hotel Indigo property in the UK and Ireland.

Situated in a prime seafront location on Torbay Road, the hotel features 153 rooms and suites, with eight that are wheelchair accessible, along with terraces overlooking Tor Bay. The design throughout celebrates Torquay's maritime heritage, with interiors inspired by the coastal surroundings.

The hotel includes Root & Reef Bistro, a restaurant celebrating Devon's fishing and farming traditions, alongside The Cast, a rooftop bar named after Torquay's literary icon Agatha Christie, offering panoramic bay views. A wellness suite with treatment rooms and a fitness centre complete the guest offer, along with parking for 101 cars and a coach drop-off area. The project also delivered improved vehicular and pedestrian access along Torbay Road.

The project extended the Fragrance Group's UK hotel portfolio, with properties also in London, Paignton and Manchester.

Our presence in the South West includes offices in Exeter and Plymouth, which have become a catalyst for growth in the region and allowed us to establish a strong group of local suppliers from the area. In 2025, the company started on site building Derriford Hospital Emergency Care Building – a new-build for the Government’s New Hospital Programme, the first Wave 1 project to start.
