Since 2006, Willmott Dixon has proudly partnered with SCAPE, the nationally recognised, Gold Standard verified construction framework designed by the public sector, for the public sector.

Together, we’ve delivered almost 600 public sector construction projects across England and Wales with a combined value of more than £6bn – from schools, blue-light and health facilities to town centre regeneration and community assets. Over the past two decades, our partnership has consistently shown the power of collaboration to create sustainable, compliant, future-ready places where people can thrive.

We are on the construction framework for England and Wales, which provides a quick to market, OJEU compliant contracting mechanism for construction projects valued between £7.5m and £75m.

Benefits of working with Willmott Dixon and SCAPE

Scape actively performance manages the Major Works frameworks, ensuring your project is delivered to the highest standard. Some of the benefits of the Scape Major Works frameworks include:

  • Fast, compliant procurement for public sector construction projects – get your projects started quickly without lengthy tendering processes, remaining fully compliant with UK, Scottish and EU procurement law.
  • Tried and tested delivery partner – work with experienced teams who support you from feasibility through to completion, keeping projects on track and to the highest quality. And where projects need more than construction alone, our Development Solutions team can help shape business cases, unlock funding, and bring forward viable schemes that align with your local priorities.
  • Legal and risk support throughout – SCAPE actively audits projects and framework partners, giving you confidence that budgets, timelines and standards will be met.
  • Safety and compliance built in – full alignment with the Building Safety Act and rigorous assurance processes give you the confidence from day one.
  • Measurable social value – together, we’ve delivered £672m in social return on investment, with £1.6bn spent locally and 93% of project spend with SMEs. That means real benefits for local jobs and skills and communities.
  • Innovation and sustainability at the core – from net-zero carbon in operation buildings to biodiversity net gain, every project pushes standards forward. Through our Energy Synergy® service, we go further by monitoring real-life building performance against design expectations. This helps customers close the performance gap and reduce energy use and costs. Our pilot at Oakley Grove School demonstrated how Energy Synergy® can deliver measurable benefits from the very first year of operation.
  • Digital by default – using digital tools and data-driven insights to improve certainty, efficiency and whole-life value for your projects.
